Help with installing xmgrace / qtgrace 

For upcoming homework and the Class Project, we will need software that can 
plot data and fit a line to the points. If you already know how to do this, 
great.

But if you don't have such software, I highly recommend you install and use 
the program called "qtgrace" (Windows/Mac) or "xmgrace" (linux/Mac) for 
plotting and simple data transformations.

Installation is fairly simple on Windows and linux. Just be sure to install 
from a trustworthy software repository, like SourceForge.

The latest version of qtgrace has a long "setup wizard" to allow many options 
to be set. You can use the defaults for all of them (which is what I 
recommend), but you can choose options to suite your own preferences.



If you are using a Mac, these tips might help you get up and running:
- Get the .dmg file (qtgrace_v026_MacOS_10.11.6_Qt5.8.dmg) from SourceForge

- Drag the QtGrace.app out of the .dmg file and paste it to the Applications folder.
- Click the icon and it should work. 
- If it does not but instead complains about security, follow the instructions given in 
  the error message to change the security settings to allow non-Apple software to 
  run on your computer.
